Strain description

Zbp1 KO mice are knockout mice deleted Z-DNA binding protein 1 (Zbp1), also known as DNA-dependent activator of IFN-regulatory factors (DAI). When Zbp1 mouse was administered DNA vaccine, Effect of DNA vaccine was no difference in the case of wildtype mouse. Therefore, it's showed that Zbp1 isn't essential for Toll-like receptor (TLR) non-dependent DNA recognition, such as B-DNA or DNA vaccine. This strain is available for elucidation of immune diseases and action mechanism of DNA vaccine.
