Strain description

Derlin-3 KO mice are knockout mice of Derl3 gene. These mice are born normally according to Mendelian inheritance. In these mice organs such as liver, the expression levels of ER associated degradation (ERAD) related proteins were affected under both normal and ER stress conditions. This strain are expected as useful model to elucidate the relationship between ERAD and stress or pathologic conditions. Derlin-3 is a endoplasmic reticulum membrane protein and the member of Derlin family.

  1. Eura Y, Yanamoto H, Arai Y, Okuda T, Miyata T, Kokame K. Derlin-1 deficiency is embryonic lethal, Derlin-3 deficiency appears normal, and Herp deficiency is intolerant to glucose load and ischemia in mice. PLoS One. 2012;7(3):e34298.
