Strain description |
Col11a2-lacZ-dnTgfbr2-#1 mice are loxP mice to construct cartilaginous conditional transgenic mouse system and regulated transgene expression by Col11a2 (Type XI collagen alpha 2 chain gene) promoter/intron 1 enhancer. The double transgenic mouse produced by mating between Col11a2-lacZ-dnTgfbr2-#1 mouse and Prx1-Cre mouse specifically expresses dominant-negative TGFβ receptor type II in the cartilage. This strain expects to contribute to basic research for the therapy of motor system diseases in orthopedics, such as dyschondroplasia. |
