Strain description | GM1-gangliosidosis and Morquio B disease are known as inborn error of metabolism observed different symptom completely, which are caused by genetic defects of lysosomal acid β-galactosidase (β-Gal). The former manifests mainly symptoms of central nervous system, whereas the latter manifests skeletal or cartilaginous symptoms, without nervous symptoms. GalF mice express mutant human β-Gal W273L observedin Morquio B disease. |
