Strain description |
A mouse strain in which Hps3, one of the genes responsible for Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome (HPS), is knocked out by genome editing (CRISPR/Cas9). It was created by setting gRNA to Exon 3 of the Hps3 gene. A 4-base deletion has been introduced into exon 3 of the Hps3 gene. Homozygous KO mice have a paler coat color than C57BL/6N wild-type mice (B6 mice, see photos). The strain is expected to be used as an HPS model. |
