Strain description

NDRG4 KO mice are knockout mice of Ndrg4 gene. These mice are born normally according to Mendelian inheritance, but they will decrease brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in cerebral cortices. Consequently, these mice shows disorders of spatial learning or spatial memory and the reduction of resistance for neuronal death caused by cerebral ischemia.
