Strain description

Transgenic mice systemically expressing the FRET biosensor AKAR3EV (cytoplasmic localized), which monitors kinase activity of PKA, under the CAG promoter. PKAchu (nbio185) was crossed with Gnat1-/- mice lacking rod transducin α subunit and mice. Retinal PKA activity imaging can be performed under conditions that no visual light response occurs in rod photoreceptor cells.
