Strain description

The C57BL/6N.129/SvJ-Slc7a5tm1 is a conditional knockout mouse strain, which was produced with floxed exon 3 of Slc7a5 gene. Researchers can induce conditional KO in the Slc7a5 gene by crossing mice with Cre recombinase expression. This strain was derived from ES cells with 129 background (EW4 cell line) and then backcrossed to C57BL/6N mice (N=17 at introduction into NIBIOHN).
