Strain description

D-glutamate cyclase (Dglucy, a.k.a.,9030617O03Rik) is an enzyme which converts D-glutamate to 5-oxo-D-proline. The Dglucy cKO mice can be used for production of conditional KO mice of the Dglucy gene since the mice are heterozygous for a floxed Dglucy gene (Dglucy-flox/+). The mice are useful for analyzing D-amino acid functions in mammals. Dglucy KO mice are also available.
