Strain description

FIR(Flox/+)mice are conditional knockout mice of FUSE-binding protein-interacting repressor (FIR) gene, a c-myc gene transcriptional repressor. Targeting allele is integraded two loxP sites derived from bacteriophage P1 flanking exon 3, 4 of FIR gene and neomycin resistance gene derived from E. coli. This strain is expected to apply for the elucidation of a role of FIR in oncogenesis of various organs.
