Animal Health Report
Strain description

Pex11 is a Pex gene factor required for peroxisome biogenesis. Pex11α expresses most prominently in the liver. Pex11α (−/−) mice are likely to become obese with fatty liver, i.e., body weights and hepatic triglyceride concentrations in Pex11α (−/−) mice are significantly higher than those in wild-type (WT) mice fed a normal or a high-fat diet.
