Strain description |
This strain is a systemic knockdown mouse expressing Dock7 short hairpin (sh) RNA. Dock7, a member of Rho family which are low-molecular-weight GTP-binding proteins, is an activating factor and expressing in whole body, so this strain is able to use to analyze it in various tissues. The research of this strain showed that Dock7 specifically inhibited myelin membrane sheath formation in peripheral nerves. This strain is expected to apply for the therapy of peripheral neurodegenerative disease, the type of myelin diseases. |
