Strain description

Salt Inducible Kinase 3 (Sik3) is a protein kinase belonging to the AMP-dependent kinase family. The Sik3-flox mice have floxed Sik3 alleles and can be used to produce conditional knockout mice for the Sik3 gene. This strain differs from nbio277 in that the Neo cassette has been removed by mating with flippase-expressing mice.
