Strain description

SLW mice are observed chondrodysplasia by mutation on Npr2, a C-Type natriuretic peptide (CNP) receptor gene, and body miniaturization. Thus, almost mice are dead caused by gastrointestinal tract abnormality before and after weaning. This strain is a good model of human chondrodysplasia and it's able to be a model for analysis of gastrointestinal tract function.
