Strain description

TANK-binding kinase 1 (TBK1) and inducible IκB kinase (IKKi) are the menber of IKK family and signal transduction molecules in the downstream of retinoic acid inducible gene-1 (RIG-1) family, TLR3 and TLR4. It's essensial for the production of interferon type I. These gene KO mice are useful for the elucidation of mechanism for innate immunity activation by infection of pathogen or DNA vaccine. TBK1 KO mice are embryonic lethal and TBK1 KO/TNF KO double KO mice are survive. Therefore, we cryopreserved embryos produced by IVF between IKKi+/- TBK1-/- TNF-/- or IKKi-/- TBK1+/- TNF-/- male and C57BL/6J female. IKKi/TBK1/TNF triple KO mice are also embryonic lethal.
