Strain description

Mice in which the Tomm5 gene was knocked out by genome editing (CRISPR/Cas9). In this strain, part of the first exon was deleted by setting gRNA in exon 1. The product of the Tomm5 gene is present in the mitochondria and contributes to protein transport and has also been implicated in pulmonary fibrosis. This strain is useful for studying mitochondrial protein transport and pulmonary fibrosis.
