Strain description

Transient receptor potential cation channel (TRP), subfamily V, member 2 (TRPV2) is a Ca2+-permeable TRP channel. Its pathophysiological roles are still unknown. This strain is a mouse line heterozygous for floxed and wild-type Trpv2 alleles. The floxed alleles, derived from V2K, has been silenced (TRPV2del) by crossing mice with CMV-driven Cre, but no CMV-Cre is left in the strain. Crossing between males and females of this strain produces TRPV2 knock-out mice.
