Strain description |
C3G is an activator of Rap1, which is a low molecular weight GTP binding protein to belong to Ras family playing an important role of signal transduction, and it's GDP-GTP exchange factor or guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF). The hC3G Tg mice overexpress human C3G in whole body and CAG promoter. This strain is available for C3G conditional Tg/KO because it's able to delete C3G transgene by Cre/loxP system. The embryonic lethality of C3G KO mice (nbio112) can be rescued by using hC3G Tg mice, but it's incomplete. Consequently, C3G homozygous knockout mouse introduced human C3G transgene (C3G-/-/hu) is remarkably small. It's showed that C3G is essential for cell adhesion and flattening by the research of C3G transgene deleted cells produced by expressing Cre in embryonic fibroblast cells derived from C3G-/-/hu mouse. |
