| Strain description | The Hsp60 Tg line #004 mice are transgenic mice with overexpression of a HSP60 mutant (D25G) in tissues expressing myelin basic protein (MBP). HSP60, a heat shock protein of ~60 kDa, works as a chaperone to assist protein folding. The HSP60 mutant (D25G) may have some effects on the nervous system of this strain. Two lines (#004 and #017) are available. |
