Strain description | The mTRAX Tg#4 mice are transgenic mice expressing CAG-promoter-driven mouse trax in the whole body. The trax and translin (TSN) form a complex that works as a Mg2+-dependent endoribonuclease in the core RNAi machinery (Science 325(5941):750-753, 2009). A study using TSN KO mice (Nbio055) revealed that loss of microRNA in dicer deficiency is caused by TSN/Trax RNase (Cell Reports 9(4):1471-81, 2014). The strain is useful for analyzing various developmental abnormalities caused by dicer deficiency. |
